ALI SULIT JIU-JITSU offers world-class instruction in the art of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Judo and wrestling, with the main focus being Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. It is through the study of these arts that we let the students undergo the physical training routines and exercises that would address their fitness needs.

The Jiu-jitsu lessons are focused on the gi aspect of the Jiu-jitsu. That is the practice of the art using the standard kimono or uniform. There are also regular no-gi classes scheduled within the training month. This is the practice of Jiu-jitsu without the kimono where the student wears the standard outfit of rashguards, leggings/spats and board shorts.

The Judo and wrestling techniques are well integrated in the Jiu-jitsu lessons that are tackled throughout the classes.

We also offer private classes and seminars on Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Judo throws and take-downs and Practical Self-defense and Urban Safety.

Brazilian Jiu-jitsu classes for kids (ages 5-12) are offered in selected branches as well.

Other than the fun, fulfilling and useful lessons that we offer, our member will benefit from the effects of the exercises and will be able to achieve their fitness goals.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-jitsu was created in Brazil when Japanese instructors of traditional Japanese Jiu-jitsu and Judo brought the art with them when they settled in the country at the start of the last century. At that time, its main focus was combat and self-defense applications. The art has evolved so much since then. Brazilian Jiu-jitsu organizations around the world have organized the sport wherein anyone from all walks of life, whatever age, gender or skill level, can experience and enjoy competition with others who have the same passion for Jiu-jitsu as them.
If you want to learn martial arts, if you want to get a good workout and get fit, if you want to be part of this growing community, improve yourself, have fun and make friends at the same time, then Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is for you.

“I started my BJJ journey in Australia and received my black belt there. When I came back to the Philippines, I joined Atos.

Ali welcomed me with open arms.  He has pushed me as a training partner and as a coach as well.  I’ve witnessed how complete beginners transformed into accomplished athletes under his tutelage.  I also always experience the highly positive vibe he nurtures within the team that encourages everyone to improve and help others get better as well.

Ali is a great motivator and a good friend.  I’m thankful for being part of a great team led by a great leader.  I can train hard and most definitely have fun doing it as well.”

“I was fortunate to be able to meet Prof. Ali Sulit in Tokyo last September. I was there film Prof. Edison Kagohara with AFG (Asia Fight Guide), after we finished filming we stayed for the class and Prof. Ali Sulit was the guest instructor. My first impression of Prof. Ali was who is this guy with bleach and spiky hair, someone who is obviously in love with Dragonball and probably one of those blackbelts who care more his cool moves and stories of winning tournaments than someone who takes time to explain the details so you can understand and use the move.

However, I was so wrong. Prof. Ali doesn’t just have kick ass moves, but he took the time to explain details of each movement even to a beginner who was attending his third or fourth lesson so he could do that kick ass move. I have been to many schools and met many different blackbelts including world champions. Prof. Ali is one of the few that I met full of passion for Jiu Jitsu, someone just wants to share his passion, his art and doesn’t really care if you are part of his team or not. He sincerely just wants you to have the gift of enjoying Jiu Jitsu like him. So I highly recommend anybody in Manila or who will visit Manila in the future to go and check out Prof. Ali. I am 100% sure you will have a great time like I did. Ossss!!!”

“I’ve been able to train in different places around the world and attend seminars conducted by high level instructors. I’m proud to say Ali’s quality of instruction is world-class. He is an excellent communicator and leader which really shines when he is teaching. He takes a technical approach in building up our skills as he patterns our sessions and training program with specific goals to improve everyone’s game. Most importantly, he cultivates a mindset of openness and continuous learning to keep trying new things and progress our level.

Beyond being a great instructor, he fosters a positive team environment where improving ourselves as people and teammates is just as important as improving in the sport. He reinforces this core value of martial arts and he’s an excellent ambassador in the community.”

“My very first exposure to martial arts was under Coach Ali Sulit back in 2008 when I took Judo for my PE class in my freshman year in college. After college, I had the privilege to train again under his guidance in team Atos Philippines. He significantly helped improve my BJJ game in preparation for the World Championships both in 2014 and 2015. Since the beginning he has taught me to overcome challenges and to urge on amidst adversities. His leadership makes us into better people striving for something more than gold medals in the art and sport of BJJ.”
